Nowadays, bikes are more than just a practical means of transportation. They are now widely used in different men’s activities such as sports, socializing and exercising. Because of this, cycling parts are significant in their functions as well as brands like the Continental bike tires. People who love cycling know what brands are good.
Continental is one of the topmost reputable companies, when it comes to bike tires and tubes. This German manufacturing company was started in the late 19th century. Like Michelin tires, continental pioneered pneumatic or air filled tires. From their very beginning, its manufacturing company has never stopped evolving and developing quality products.
There are all kinds of bikes and some of them require different types of tires. The bike you buy will depend on what you intend to do with your bike. To help you choose which one you to buy, here are the list of bikes and their use.
Racing bikes- Their lightweight-built is made for stiff road racing. Their road bike tires have a high pressure and should be narrow for greater speed. The Grand Prix 24mm, GP Attack, GP Force and Grand Prix 4000 S are just few that offered by Continental for this type of bike. Interestingly, the Ironman from Michelin bike tires, stands to be in competition with Continental’s GP Triathlon.
Mountain bikes- Unlike the racing bikes, this one is made of heavier components to withstand off-road biking paths. These bikes are use to climb steep, rocky mountain paths. They use fatter tires and stronger frames. With Continental, you can choose from their downhill, freeride, all mountain, and classic range. Der Kaiser, Mountain King, and Diesel 2.5 are among the most popular tires for this kind of riding. Kevlar is also another well known company that makes bike parts.
Touring Bikes- These bikes are made to carry heavy loads. These comfortable bikes use flexible frames and long tubes for comfort. The touring plus, top contact, and travel contact are just three of the continental tires that offer safety, comfort, and durability. These features are what give your bike the speed you need while touring.
There are still other types of bikes that require different types of tires. BMX which is used to do tricks and stunts requires special parts. Likewise, aside from Continental; Michelin bikes tires, Panaracer, and Kenda bike tires are the leaders of this industry that offer different bike accessories, tubes, and tires.
Are continental tires the tires I should buy for my bike? These tires are quite popular all over the world। Their years of experience and tradition are really something you should look into. And, of course there are other major brands you should look into to see what fits your needs.

A Report Card On This Generation's American Politicians
As the first decade of this century comes to a close, I thought it would be a good idea to look back over the past twenty years to see how this generation's politicians have managed the affairs of the Federal government and the country. Twenty years is a good measure since it a reasonable amount of time (not too short to see emerging trends, not too long to be irrelevant), it covers a time period when the Democrats and Republicans each controlled the White House for ten years, it covers a time frame when both parties either controlled parts of Congress or had split control, and the actions taken by these politicians will impact the nation for years to come.
Given this back drop, how did our so-called leaders perform relative to the vital issues facing the country? Unfortunately, the final report card is not pretty:
- Social Security is hurtling towards insolvency with no rational plan in the works to fix it.
- Medicare is hurtling towards insolvency with no rational plan in the works to fix it.
- Our public education system fails to adequately education vast numbers of our children while consuming more and more resources.
- We still have no rational national energy plan, which has caused us to become more and more dependent on the whims and energy pricing of foreign countries.
- We have not figured out how to manage the issue of drug addiction that has led to the evolution of a violent narco state just south of our border and left many our citizens that want to kick their drug habit untreated
- Our borders are still not secure, resulting in over 10 million illegal aliens in the country with a high probability that some of the 10 million are bent on terrorism aims.
- We are fighting two wars that have drained our Treasury, resulting in over 34,000 Americans being killed or wounded, but has not destroyed the terrorism threat that it set out to do.
- We continue to deny basic rights to the American gay and lesbian community, whether it is the right to marry or the right and privilege to serve in our armed forces.
- While the political class has passed a massive health care reform law, this law is likely to fail while substantially adding to the national deficit.
- Speaking of national deficit, we now have an outrageous national debt of over $13 TRILLION, burdening every American household with over $100,000 worth of government debt.
- Government reaction to national disasters such as 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, the BP oil spill, etc., while heroic at the individual level, have been inefficient, ineffective, and expensive at the government bureaucracy level.
- Government entities responsible for the banking and housing industries (e.g. Treasury Department, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FDIC, Federal Reserve Board, Senate and House of Representatives committees, etc.) failed miserably in foreseeing and managing the economic disaster of the past few years, with confirmed reports that some SEC employees, at all levels of management, spent most of their working days surfing the Internet for downloadable pornography.
- Not to be outdone by the SEC employees, Gulf of Mexico Interior Department employees have also been found to be spending much of their working time surfing for Internet pornography while ignoring safety issues that eventually caused the BP oil spill disaster.
- Through the gerrymandering of Congressional districts, the expansion of earmark volumes, manipulating the primary election system, and the passing ineffective campaign reform financing laws that allow big corporate, union, and PAC contributors to drown out the voices of ordinary Americans, this political class has rigged our voting processes to ensure that the incumbents are always re-elected despite their in office performance.
- Despite massive bureaucracies concerned about consumer safety, failed government processes to foresee the Toyota safety problems and the failed over sight of stopping the import of lead and cadmium laced toy products, probably resulted in American fatalities.
- Moral and ethical behavior have not been a strong point of this generation's political class, whether it was outright/convicted corruption (Traficant, Cunningham, Ryan, Rostenkowski), alleged corruption (Rangel, Walters, and possibly a dozen others), or alleged immoral corruption (Spitzer, MacGreevey, Edwards, Clinton, Foley, Ryan, Sanford, Ensign).
- Intelligent political dissent has degenerated into name calling with those opposed to the invasion of Iraq as unpatriotic, those opposed to Obama Care being likened to racists of the civil rights era or being called un-American, knuckle dragging Neanderthals, or terrorists.
- Never has the country been so divided with politicians using the differences in cultural, racial, sexual, religious, or geographic orientations to "energize their base" while belittling other Americans that may have legitimate, differing views.
Unfortunately, given the above report card, I think we would all have to give the political class a failing grade for their performance over the past twenty years (despite the fact that they reward themselves with automatic pay raises every year). Wherever you land on the above issues, it is pretty obvious that no real progress and, in many cases, no real effort, has been made in successfully resolving these issues.
The focus of our politicians has been very simple: to get elected and stay elected, using whatever financial and government resources (e.g. earmarks) they can get their political hands on or demonizing one group of Americans (gay vs. straight, pro life vs. pro choice, red state vs. blue state, one race vs. another race, poor vs. rich) in order to get the support of another group. Nowhere in this list of political priorities do you see the solving of issues or the uniting of the country as important to the American political class.
And this is not only the Democrats' fault and it is not only the Republicans' fault. It is the fault of all politicians and the American voters who allow both parties to separate and divide us against ourselves while they continue their failing performance relative to the problems facing the nation today.
The time has come to move beyond this petty and ineffective leadership we have endured for the past twenty years. We need to enact the fifty steps, as outlined in "Love My Country, Loathe My Government" as soon as possible. These steps include downsizing government functions to be smaller in number, smaller in size, and more effective in serving. These steps include campaign finance reform to take the overpowering allure and temptation of money out of the election process. These steps include political accountability (including term limits) so that politicians actually behave ethically and morally, and become focused on problem solving and not solely their re-election. These steps include national, independent efforts to fix our schools, our drug problem, our energy problem, and our health care problem, independent in the sense that politicians and lobbyists are excluding from the problem solving process.
Otherwise, twenty years from now, our kids will still be undereducated, our national debt will be insurmountable, government functions will be more dysfunctional, politicians will be more entrenched, more corrupt, and less likely than even now to solve important issues, and the freedoms and liberties we should be enjoying, as guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights will be just distant memories.
A recent article in Newsweek magazine rated the top countries in the world in which to live। Twenty years ago, the United States would have been the hands down winner. Our economy was strong, the communist threat was ending, we were probably the freest nation in the world. We were the economic, cultural, military, moral, and athletic powerhouse of the world. Today, according to the Newsweek article, we rank 11th out of the best places to live in the world. While other nations have probably accounted for a lot of the improvement, at our expense, on this list, I would also reprimand our political class for not improving our country and our lives as quickly as the rest of the world. From first to 11th in twenty years. Imagine where we will rank in another twenty years if we allow this generation of politicians to propagate further.

Printing Business Brochures That Work
Despite an exceptional product or service, some businesses still do not achieve the profit they desire. This could be because of a lot of factors, but mostly it is about your marketing strategy. When you experience this kind of scenario in your business, it’s time to reassess your marketing strategy. Perhaps it is time to take a good look at your business brochures and see what is missing in it. Maybe your information are outdated, your brochure design not too enticing, or perhaps your offerings are not tempting.
Brochures, when designed properly, can be an exceptionally cost effective marketing material. It will help you get loyal and profitable customers as well as maintain good relations with colleagues and business associates. Although brochure content varies in different companies, the standard information that has to be present in a business brochure is: company information including its history, detailed information about the products and services and images, testimonials from customers and contact information.
For a startup or small business, a brochure can be one of the best ways to connect with customers. But for huge companies that use several marketing materials as part of their marketing strategy, brochures can serve as the threshold in selling their products or services to customers. It is, however, important that you know what content will make your brochure remarkably interesting. You have to understand what information will set your business apart from your competitors.
Know the purpose of your brochure
To many businesses, brochures serve as their sales representative. They are used to make initial contact with potential customers. Wherever you are or even if you are not there to deliver your sales pitch to customers, brochures are always present ready to do the sale for you. Most businesses though, if not all, use brochures promote their products and services. They are used to provide detailed information regarding the business offerings.
What to include in the brochure
It is critical to design your brochure in such a way that they will easily entice customers to take action or make a positive response. You can consider including freebies on some of your items or include discount coupons inside the brochure. You can also put an FAQ section about your business and your products or services to help encourage customers to buy from you.
You can also highlight your unique selling proposition. Tell people how unique are you compared to your competitors and what people will lose if they do not avail of your products or services. To do effectively achieve this you need to include testimonials from satisfied customers to verify your claim.
Of course, it is important to include complete information about your products or services. It would help if you include attractive photos of your offering to give customers a glimpse of what they will receive if they purchase from you.
Call to action
In order for your business brochure printing to be effective, you need to guide your customers on the process. Inform them how they can avail of your products. For instance, if you also do business online, tell your customers that they can purchase your products through your website.
One good way of driving customers to make an action is by using telling them of the discounts they can avail on their next purchase। Doing this will help increase your chance of gaining new customers.

Financial analysts are quite educated in this area. They can explain the dos and don’ts. Much more, they can provide you a clearer view of what you should purchase.
Another good thing about these places and offices is that they are not there to offer you something. Unlike insurance companies or investment organizations, all they offer is financial advice. With this, you can already have a guarantee that they don’t have a biased opinion.
Finally, they too can give you alternatives and suggestions on which type of annuity you should consider. If you want to sell your payments, then you will get solid advice from them.

Human resources are one of the main driving forces behind a country’s development. USA is one of the foremost nations in the world in the availability of jobs in human resources. And the province of Georgia is also a leading centre. The province of Georgia has a population of 9,829,211. Because of the presence of such a huge population there is always abundant supply of workers necessary to run a country. What are human resources?
The staffs and people who operate an organization are called human resources. People might find more serious and bookish definition of the concerned term. This is the basic one need to know no matter whether it is Florida or Georgia.
The most important task of an HR is to manage the staff, maintain their morale, and motivate them throughout the term so that the company receives the best of their work. It might sound easy, but it is extremely difficult to motivate and inspire people, especially when they are asked to do the same old thing again and gain and again.
Here a wise, intelligent, experienced, HR professional will know how to pull it off in style. There are many industries in Georgia facing the same problem of people wanting to quit their job just because they want to taste some other job. Here in such a situation, the importance of the HR is felt the most. Saving the company from an apparent loss depends largely on him.
We all know that the USA has a multi colored community where the office environment is not the same as in other countries. Dealing with people from so many backgrounds is difficult. He needs to deal with everyone’s problem with efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality and while doing so he needs to be headstrong so that he can reach to solutions.

And their caller proclaimed Glory be to HOBAL (an idol used to be worshiped before Islam).. …. Isn’t there any one to answer back ..
And their caller proclaimed Glory be to HOBAL (an idol used to be worshiped before Islam)..
…। Isn’t there any one to answer back ॥
May Allah take not away certainty out of your hearts
Put your trust in Allah and trust on Him
Praise be to Allah & Peace and blessing be upon the prophet of guidance, his family and companions.
Allah, Glory be to Him, took a covenant from us to follow his messenger with certainty and not to deviate.
There is no one on earth who is stronger than a pious one, and certainly there is no one who is weaker than a doubtful person.
O’ the bearers of the Message of Mohamed … Hobal’s worshipers are crying out : exalted be Hobal !!! isn’t there any one to cry louder responding to them: but Allah is exalted be He and glory be to Him.
Isn’t there out speaking one to clarify to them that Glory and Mighty belongs to Allah, to his Messenger and to the believers. Yes indeed it is so, by the Lord of Mohamed no one can deny that but a hypocrite or an ignorant.
Allah the Most High says:
“To Allah belongs the Honor, to His Messenger and to the believers.
Yet the hypocrites don’t know”.
The ignorant ones are those who were deceived by the worldly authority of their leaders and kings.
Allah! Most High says:
“and they said: by the pharaoh’s honor we will be the victorious”
They were deceived by the false and showiness, they were not aware of the truthful reality, they swore by the glory of that tyrant that they will overcome any one opposes them or objects to their way.
Then, the battle took place between hosts of the ultimate truth, the soldiers of Allah and the hosts of illusion, the follower of the devil, those who brag about the tyranny of their Masters.
But The King of the whole universe the Mightiest one in the Heavens and the earth, The Fully Aware of the two parties, The Controller of all affairs, He keeps firm those who put their trust in Him by saying to them:
“If you are suffering, they to suffer as you do.
Yet you hope from Allah what they don’t”
He is The Most Merciful, The Most Gracious condoles His servants who have been hurt and comforts them that even though their opponents are hurt to, but they will not get Allah’s pleasure and reward as they do.
For the believers, those who endure patiently for the sake of Allah, they expect one of the two excellent outcomes; either victory or martyrdom and paradise.
So, then they are by no mean even, the murdered ones of the disbelievers end up in Hell while the Martyrs of faith dwell in paradise.
Therefore, the believers are requested to be proud of their Islam, and not to allow any weakness to undertake their hearts, nor being overcome by ignominy and grief, nor fall into depression during calamities, because these signs of weakness encourages their enemies against them.
Grief and sadness in faith don’t suit the conditions of faith and the true trust in Allah and that He is The Best Supporter and The Best Protector.
They (the believers) are superiors in faith and in respect of reward. And to them is a promise of victory and authority so they get the best of recompense in this life and in the Hereafter. “and who is more truthful than Allah in His statement”
O’ battalions who were supported by Hosts from Heaven …
Our supporter spoke to us saying:
“If a wound has touched you, be sure that a similar wound has touched the others. Such days give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those who believe and that He may take martyr witnesses, and Allah loves not those who do wrong”
“Allah’s object also is to purge those who are true in faith and to deprive of His blessing those who disbelieve”
The disbelievers may take turn in victory, and Allah’s objective from that is to verify the faith of the true believers and to recognize the hypocrites (and he knows best).
Sheikh Saady, may Allah have mercy on him says: “If victory is constant and permanent during all times and in every battle, every one would have entered Islam even those who don’t like it and aren’t convinced.
So there is a great wisdom behind trying the believers sometimes to verify the true believers who remain steadfast during prosperity as well as in adversity and during difficulties as well as during ease.
In His saying, Glory be to Him: “and to take martyrs witnesses from amongst you” that indicates the high position of the Martyr with Allah the All-Mighty: yet He, Glory be to Him, made it available only to those who can afford the price.
In His statement (Glory be to Him): “and to purge those who are true in faith” that means to remove away their sins and remits their faults as result of their sacrifices on the battle field, of getting injured, hurt or even martyred. All of that for the sake of Allah.
Through this mean of testing, Allah also uncover the hypocrites and identify their reality so they fall apart after their recognition.
Once those hypocrites are being recognized, the believing society will get rid of them and cut them off.
When Allah (Glory be to Him) said in His Holy Quraan: “Allah The All-Mighty seers the tyranny of the disbelievers” by the hands of His believing Hosts, He helps them to defeat the disbelievers and eradicate their strength and tyranny.
The Most Powerful Lord spokes to us:
“Do you think that you will enter the Paradise before Allah recognizes those who struggle for His sake amongst you and recognizes the patient ones”
In this verse an objectionable question meaning that how could you imagine entering Heaven without being tested and tried? Without hardships and suffering for the sake of Allah and seeking His pleasure.
Verily paradise is the Highest objective and the best goal of all the competitors.
And the greater is the objective the greater are the means of achieving it and the deeds that lead to it.
Delight Paradise can’t be achieved without giving up on other inferior delights.
The adversities of this life helps to train the servant of Allah to keep off any thing can take him away from the Garden of his Lord.
Those wordy hardships lead to an eternal ease that can be acknowledged by those believers with deep understanding.
And, … that is the bounty of Allah, He grants it to whomever He wills and Allah has the Great bounty.

The World war Against Islam
The World war Against इस्लाम
All praise belong to Allah alone and peace & blessings be upon his last messenger and prophet.
The matter does not need a high intelligence to understand that fighting Islam and its legislations is the common factor and the focal point that the revolving world war, going on all over the world, is focusing on.
That was reflected by the large demonstration before days in which the Muslim Tanzanian nation went out heading towards the American embassy carrying a clear message to the new world order flag holder; (we, the Tanzania Muslims, in the name of all world Muslims we express our condemnation of the unjust campaign that The United States Of America launches on what she claims as terrorism and we consider this campaign a war against Islam and the Muslims.
http://links.islammemo.cc/somet/one_News.asp?IdNews=88
A war against the origins of Islam and its branches... Its purpose (the war of the human being liberation from Islam ) and it is a war that has a military and logistical aspects at the same time pours all in the achievement of their target;
The destruction of the man using the theme of the human rights
The destruction of the woman using the theme of the woman's rights
The destruction of the child using the theme of the child rights
The destruction of the social system using the charters, treaties and policies that focus around fighting the Islam to destroy our security and stability.
It is the blasphemous plan of action for the establishment of the new world order rules...
As for the society cornerstones; the man and the woman, from them the child to be born and grow up, the destruction strategy is:
Killing your sons and sparing your women
For the males
The destruction of their mind was exerted. They carried it out more than fifty years but the Muslim character resisted, and the frank result was the clarification that appeared in the uprising Intifada (the revolution of rocks) ...
The alienation, the starvation and the change of the curricula did not affect neither the characters of the Muslims in Palestine nor their strong spirit.
And the All-Mighty God defeated His enemies and his messenger’s enemies, as Allah’s soldiers… They are the winners. Allah promised to safeguard his religion, and the destructive hopes of our enemies will be devastated.
When they became certain that the Muslim personality cannot be tamed, they are the brood (children) of Badr and Khaibar battles, then they turned to the amputation and the genocide.
And as for the women
Their way was the revival of the pleasures
They have carried out the slyness and the cunning for the destruction of the mind … along with the creativity in the adornment of the body and its globalization …to every drunk, adulterous and libertine.
The United Nations commission for the woman position prepared a treaty approved by the United Nations during the year 1967 as a declaration for the elimination the discrimination against the woman, who called for the change of the concepts and the cancellation of the dominant habits that differentiate between the man and the woman with the recognition that the non-governmental women's organizations are capable of the creation of this change ... Dr. Nora Al-Saad .
The agreement of the eradication of the distinction forms contained an important term ...Where the article 3 says:
“The term discrimination against woman means any differentiation or exclusion or a restriction that takes place based on the gender (sex) in the political, economic, social, cultural or civil fields or in any other field. And the agreement confirms in an asserting way the principle of equality between the woman and the man by requesting the member countries to take all needed measures, including the legislation for the support of the woman development and its complete advancement, to be able to practice its human rights and to enjoy it based on the equality with the man
http://www.unicef.org/jordan/arabic/cedaw2.htm
And this agreement differs from the human rights agreement in text the agreement cares for the remoteness of the human reproduction, beside its care about the effect of the cultural factors on the relations of the social kind or gender (the two sexes) the UNICEF committee report, Jordan, 2001
It confirms the homosexuals’ rights frankly.
In New York conference for the follow-up of the agreement of Al Sidaw Beijing there is a text that says:
(As for the follow-up system for the application of the agreement, it is expected from the member countries to submit reports presenting the national work done in this respect at least once every four years, in which they should clarify the measures that they took to execute this agreement. These reports to be discussed by the committee members during the annual session with the governments’ delegates aiming at exploring the fields that needs more measures in a specific country.
The committee is to presents general recommendations to the member countries on the issues related to the elimination of violence against woman) UNICEF committee report, 2001
One of the centers that support these agreements, as a mere example, is Cairo Center for the Human Rights Studies
http://www.cihrs.org/ABOUTUS/aboutus2_A.htm
A scientific research and intellectual organization, abides by all international charters, treaties, agreements and declarations issued by the United Nations related to the human rights.
The center seeks the achievement of this target by organizing various activities and conducting scientific, intellectual and experimental research in addition to educational activities that the centre organizes alone or in cooperation with others.
It is a research institute specialized in the study of the human rights in the Arab world as a distinguished scientific field. Its main task is analyzing and interpreting the difficulties that face the application of the international law of the human rights and spreading the human rights’ culture in the Arab societies.
The center seeks to achieve its mission throughout the construction of strong intellectual capabilities able to provide us with solutions for the problems of the human rights. That implies the necessity of taking into consideration the current historical state of the Arab societies.
To achieve this purpose the center adopts scientific and educational programs including conducting theoretical and applied researches, holding conferences, seminars and workshops. The center also offers consultation and provides technical, scientific library services for the students and researchers in human rights field. “Cairo Center for Human Rights Studies .
The allocation of some disapproved and forbidden manners from both the logic and Islamic perspectives and merging them within the framework of the concept: RIGHTS, this is indeed an extreme criminality; where the call for the freedom of sexual relationships becomes frank, considering that from the woman's main rights.
We will then allow the birth control, and call for the recognition of the adulterers’ rights, the recognition of the homosexuality, the permission of all kinds of engagement between man and woman other than the marriage, and the dissuasion from the early marriage and the enactment of laws to prevent it.
The concentration would be focused on the development of coeducation between the two genders and promoting the sex education in the early age, …. all kind of rotten secretions that should be resisted and faced with firmness before its contamination spreads in all the chosen nation body.
The term: violence against the woman has expanded and lengthened so that it includes the veil, the guardianship rules and the husband’s guardianship ... and …. a long list.
Yes! We confirm that in our societies exists a transgression of the teachings of Islam by some people that caused the occurrence of injustice and aggression against their women in their money, their rights or their coexistence.
But the proper remedy for all that is to return to the method of the King of Kings the Most Wise, the Creator who knows well His creatures, NOT to invent rules and judgments based on human measures. Doing this, as we escape from the heat by jumping into fire!!!!
The human beings are similar to each others, they have a soul tempting with the badness, if the law was made from the unbelievers who did not foster Allah’s right, do you think they are able to consider the rights and the well-being of his servants?.
How can women trust the opinions of disbelievers while they are not obedient to their Lord and Creator?
O’ brothers and sisters in Islam
Indeed, it’s a very dangerous matter...
The most dangerous is that these laws are suppose to be the pillars of the said New World Order that they want to impose on all countries and societies all over the world
Linking the democracy with stopping the application of Sharia (the Islamic jurisprudence is a matter that has its significance
Nothing is most indicative than the warning issued by the German minister of cooperation to the Afghani Parliament members; she said that if they voted for the return to the application of Islamic Sharia in Afghanistan then they would deviate from the way towards the democracy:
All political leaders in Afghanistan must respect the man and weak woman’s rights. If they return back to the Islamic legislation (Sharia) they deviate from the right way towards the democracy, and the state of law that they promised to establish during Petersburg agreements.
And she added:
We are committed in Afghanistan to the full application of the woman's rights … and the new Afghani constitution supposed to issued in two years period, should match with the international law criteria (Al-Bayan newspaper, issue number 8026)
One of the most important elements of the New World Order is the malicious planning for fighting the Islamic Legislation (Sharia) through liberating the Muslim women from their religion, this order that America fights all the Muslim nations to impose it by all means, even by force.
And this is, indeed, an indication of what we say
Linking between the fight against terrorism and eliminating the violence against the woman - according to its meaning in the western theorization - another indication to what we say.
Linking freedom, justice and the equality with the homosexuals’ rights and dropping the woman’s distinction is a third indication to what we say.
I am addressing here every human being who has a thinking mind and can realize and consider the conspiracy, indeed our father wasn’t an evil person, our mother wasn’t an adulterer
Let’s not treat our social sins with the disbelief
The man who confiscated the money of his sister, daughter or wife will not become good and righteous if the woman were given the right to drive the cars of the whole world, that will never allow her to get back her money
If a woman was abused by her husband or imprisoned by her father or brother, she will not get her rights fulfilled or their dignity restored if she descend to works in the elections, to drive tanks, to working as bar tender or in the prostitution moving between the adulterers tables.
She will not gain back her dignity if she walked down the streets half dressed or naked...
But the reform would be achieved by asking those who wronged her to return to the divine method of the All-Mighty Allah the Creator of the mankind and the whole universe, only that will be able to shrub the love, familiarity and cordiality to grow up between the man and woman under the guidance of their Lord; and before all … the fear of Allah, watching His teachings, obeying Him in secrecy and in public.
O the scent of the universe ... it is the war
The war that burns around us … that aims towards you
Its terrible objectives and horrible wanted outcomes are calling us to wake up.
It’s time to return to what our Prophet Mohamed (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) built between us, He informed us that he is leaving to us two things, as far as we stick to them we will not go astray at all; The Book of Allah and the Sunna (the prophetic tradition) of His Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) .
O the chastity pearl in the universe port ... lower its curtains, do not spill your self-respect and steadfast on the right path.
O’ Al Khansaa and Somayya offspring.
The treachery is not accepted; the heart cannot afford seeing you breaking those values by your own hands.
Look after the Book of Allah and preserve the moral values...
Never forget the Power of Allah, the Vengeful
The curse is certainly upcoming to all those who disobey Allah and His Messenger O’ dear.
My little daughter… would you be of those who obeyed the All-Mighty Allah, would you be one of the pious who fear His Anger?
All praise belong to Allah alone and peace & blessings be upon his last messenger and prophet.

The Role Model Preacher
The Role Model Preacher
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
All praise belong to Allah alone and peace & blessings be upon his last messenger, and upon his pious companions and all his family members.
The Preacher who deserves to call him as a role model is that Muslim who applies what he knows or says, as the All-Mighty Allah says in the Holy Quraan:
“Truly he succeeds that purifies it (the soul), and he fails that corrupts it (the soul)!” Alshams 9,10
The success is in the purification of the soul; the failure and the loss are in wasting it by falling in all kinds of sins.
The result of success is the admission into Gardens beneath which Rivers flow.
And the result of loss is the Hellfire in the Hereafter.
This proves the importance of the soul purification and upbringing.
To be able to do so, one would surely need a strong keenness and terrific determination.
Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) spares no effort in conveying the message of Allah for approximately thousand years of permanent effort.
The role model preacher is that one who slaughtered his soul’s lower Desires and fights against his soul’s evil.
If he is to die, Allah will grant the nation another one to succeed him, as Allah will never let his chosen nation navigates in the darkness without granting them of role model preachers that serve as bacons of guidance.
He is the one out of every one million, that guides the people to the right path, and he is the serene one who tries his best with the hypocrites, the inattentive and the libertines using all means to guide them to the gates of the eternal paradise.
Their hearts are full of love to Allah and His prophet, you will always find them busy doing their best to please their Lord and to seek his forgiveness, and their souls are linked with the throne of the King of Kings, The Ever Living and Eternal God.
The greatest disaster that hit the Muslims in the history was the death of the messenger (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
During these critical moments, stands Abu Bakr, his companion and lover, the father of his beloved wife (May Allah be pleased with him), and then he addressed the nation saying:
Allah kept Mohamed (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) alive until he established Allah's religion and conveyed God's message and fought for God's sake. Then he passed away and his soul went back to The Creator, he has left you on the right path. “Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted; that those who died might die after a clear Sign (had been given), and those who lived might live after a clear Sign (had been given). And verily Allah is He who heareth and knoweth all things”. Those ho were worshipping Allah, Allah is the Ever-Living that never dies, and those who were worshiping Mohamed (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); Mohamed has passed away. O’ people … fear Allah... and stick to your religion.
Allah's religion is still and will remain existing, the Word of Allah now is complete, and “Allah will certainly aid those who aid His (cause); for verily Allah is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will)”.
And the Book of Allah is still between us; it is the light and the recovery for our souls, our life and the Hereafter. Allah swords are to a drawn what we put till now ... (the beginning and the end: 6 / 243).
That was the position of Abu Bakr and his action in these sensitive moments, Al Farouk Omar Ibn Al-Khattab said: if Abu Bakr obeyed us, we would have deviated.
“Those (Abu Bakr and Omar) are the ear and sight for our religion” said the prophet Mohamed (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), in the Hadith narrated by Al-Hakem in his book Al-Mostadrak and approved by Al-Albani (May the mercy of Allah be upon him).
The role model preacher that we call as Guide is the flame that lights our way and that guides the Muslim Nation during the utmost darkness when the hypocrisy expands and the doubt wanders in the hearts of those who worshiped Allah on an edge. During these circumstances one can distinguish between those of strong faith and others hesitating and doubtful.
Amidst the seditions hurricane; the deep-rooted determination appears as a witness of the Muslim faith, in support of the true religion. During such situations Allah uses those who He loves and who He was pleased with them for the support of His religion.
The Islamic caliphate was cancelled, but … did Islam withdrawn or its borders were receded?
Thomas and Arnold say: the loss of the political influence did not lead to stop the Muslims’ work for their religion neither to the descent of the progress average of the people converting to Islam. Even the Muslim prisoner of war, he seizes the opportunities in various occasions to call others to join his religion …(the call to Islam).
The nation’s women and men are equal in this race; they compete amongst each other in doing their best to serve this noble religion. Starting by Khadija (May Allah be pleased with her) the first wife of the Messenger (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the first on earth who believed in him, passing by Somaya (May Allah be pleased with her), the tremendous determination and strong zeal and adhesion to the Islam’s pillars, arriving to Omm Shareek (May Allah be pleased with her) the woman who worked hard to spread Islam between the people.
Not to forget Aisha, the mother of the believers who kept the inheritance in her purified house.
Also the Hadith narrators, generation after generation, and the pioneers of the Islamic work throughout the years, the stones’ children in Palestine, the Land of Resurrection, the steadfast, the carriers of the Islam banner.
I live to serve Islam, my noble religion … the belief of monotheism
I carved its letters on my heart using big, highlighted and bold font
I live to defend Islam even if I was sacrificed and hanged against the walls
Even if I was burned in fire
Even if I was sold as slave in the slave market
While walking, the sand of the earth is praying for me
Could I be of any value without a Great God and religion?
Answer me if you could do.
O’ Allah use us in what makes you pleased with us, use us in support of Your noble religion, Your glorious Book, and the Sunnah (prophetic tradition) of Your Beloved Messenger and Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and make us from those who are upon guidance!
O’ Allah, may your best blessings and peace be upon Mohamed, his family and companions.
And Allah is the source of all sincerity.

Mohammad's swords will never be eradicated… nor will they turn into wood
All praise be to Allah Alone and peace and blessings be upon His last messenger and Prophet.
Our enemies collect the fruits while we are sitting in the open air watching the collapse of our glory, our abdomens are satiated with hunger and poverty, our thoughts are full of corruption and imposture, our backs are burning with repression and defeat, our eyes and insights are sheltered by the illusion and mirage.
But the market is still on and the price is present. ...
And… the rescue tools are geared up to those who really want it….
And… the strong zeal is the key for all matters...
Let's correct our situation, as war is rivalry...
However… the pious will be the victorious, "and the best end is for the righteous even though the Unbelievers may detest it". Al-Tawbah 32
The greatest and most important things of what the cross slaves destroyed in Iraq and Afghanistan is the "Loyalty and the Denunciation" in our doctrine (the term: "Loyalty and Denunciation" means that Muslim should always demonstrate his loyalty to Allah and disassociating himself from every thing that opposes the All-Mighty Allah, His religion and His messenger).
O Allah's servants…
{America's strategy in the region is long-ranged, has very deep objectives, clear vision and fixed tools. America is insistent to execute that strategy, whatever it takes of time and effort.
Allah (Exalted in height) says in the Holy Quraan:
"Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The Guidance of Allah, that is the (only) Guidance," wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor Helper against Allah". Al-Baqarah 120
"Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be Companions of the Fire and will abide therein" Al-Baqarah 217.
America uses the hit-and-run tactic, in secret and in public, It deals with all the issues in the light of It's own interests regardless of any moral values, and will never give up any way that lead to achieving it's goals, for America, the purpose justifies the means, we are simply chessboard stones while America is the player, that was clearly announced by it's politicians and is applied by the American intelligence and army everywhere.
The confrontation of that strategy and that plan would never be effective if all we do is reacting to what they initiate, nor by taking random actions or short-range plan.
If we want the victory in this confrontation, we should act positively with the same kind of strategy, and to refer to our Glorious Holy Quraan in which Allah says:
"Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the Cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly "Al-Anfal 60.
This requires multiplied collective efforts that unify the young and old, the male and female, the individual and the group...
Efforts on the level of the Muslim believing nation that neither militancy nor distances nor cultures can divide its members...
The All-Mighty Allah says in the Holy Quraan:
"And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the Pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: that ye may be guided". Aala-Emran 103
"And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes, lest ye lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere" Al-Anfaal 46
We need faithful efforts in all fields, in the military, security, media, economics, political and social domains.
The preparation of the individuals to be engaged in this battle should be comprehensive in all the fiducial, educational, financial and psychological areas, (you should struggle against the polytheists by your money, yourselves and your tongues).
We should raise our sons since their early ages on the knowledge of their enemy, and to clarify the facts related to America and those who run in its orbit.
We also should make them aware of the deep-rooted doctrine related to the disbelief of Jews, Christians and the polytheists, they should know that they are not (and will not be) our friends at all and under any circumstances until they transfer to Islam and believe in Allah alone. Allah says in the Holy Quraan: “We have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred forever, unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone” Al-Mumtahenah 4.
Greater than hitting Iraq, what we witness of the Loyalty and Denunciation creed (Loyalty to the King of kings and disassociating oneself from every thing that opposes Allah, His religion and His messenger), this creed is being severely slaughtered by some of those who claim to be Muslim .
Allah says in the Holy Quraan:
“O ye who believe! Take not My enemies and yours as friends (or protectors), offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Messenger and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in Allah your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to Seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path” Al-Mumtahena 1.
Had you not realized nor were deterred??} “Dr. Nasser Al-Omar”.
O all Monotheists in my nation… !!
The Mohammadan's nation will never be destroyed nor will it be weak.
And… Mohammad's swords will never be eradicated…nor will they turn into wood.
The Greatest, the Most Powerful Lord addresses you then says:
"If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) we give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong." Al-Emraan 140.
The unbelievers are suffering like us ...And the Most Wise, Knowledgeable alternates the days between the believers and the unbelievers by turns, a round for them and a round for us.
Sheikh Saady, may Allah have mercy on him says: "If victory is constant and permanent during all times and in every battle, every one would have entered Islam even those who don't like it and aren't convinced. So there is a great wisdom behind trying the believers sometimes to verify the true believers who remain steadfast during prosperity as well as in adversity and during difficulties as well as during ease".
In His saying, Glory be to Him: "and to take martyrs witnesses from amongst you" that indicates the high position of the Martyr with Allah the All Mighty: yet He, Glory be to Him, made it available only to those who can afford the price.
In His statement (Glory be to Him): "and to purge those who are true in faith" that means to remove away their sins and remits their faults as result of their sacrifices on the battle field, of getting injured, hurt or even martyred. All of that for the sake of Allah's pleasure.
Through this mean of testing, Allah also uncovers the hypocrites and identifies their reality so they fall apart after their recognition.
Once those hypocrites are being recognized, the believing society will get rid of them and cut them off.
When Allah (Glory be to Him) said in His Holy Quraan: "Allah The All-Mighty seers the tyranny of the disbelievers" by the hands of His believing Hosts, He helps them to defeat the disbelievers and eradicate their strength and tyranny.
The Most Powerful Lord spoke to us:
"Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allah recognizes those who struggle for His sake amongst you and recognizes the patient ones"
Delight Paradise can't be achieved without giving up on other inferior delights.
The adversities of this life helps to train the servant of Allah to keep off any thing can take him away from the Garden of his Lord.
Those worldly hardships lead to an eternal ease that can be acknowledged by those believers with deep understanding.
And, … that is the bounty of Allah, He grants it to whomever He wills and Allah has the Great bounty.
O Allah give Your Support to the protectors of your righteous religion all over the globe, Give them strength, honor them with your victory.
O Allah don't let their wish unattainable and admit them into your mercy! for thou you are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!
Oh Allah Have mercy on us. Thou art our Lord and Protector; help us against those who stand against Faith.
Oh Allah support Islam and Muslims by Your infinite Power and destroy the Jews and those who help them.
May the best peace and blessing of Allah be upon his prophets and messengers.
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the universe.
And… Allah is the source of all sincerity.

Woman’s psychological rights in Islam
All praise be to Allah Alone & peace and blessings be upon His last messenger and Prophet.
Marriage was mentioned in the Qur’an as one of Allah’s signs in His universe and one of His bounties on His servants.
He says (Glory be to Him) in the Holy Qur’an:
“And among His signs, that He created for you, from your ownselves, mates that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts, verily in that are signs for those who reflect” Al-Room 21.
The Noble verse stated the goals of the marriage life that are tranquility, love and compassion, in addition to mercy between the couple.
These are all psychological, spiritual values; life becomes meaningless once it is slipped of these values. It becomes only two bodies live close to each others with separated souls. Such a life soon will collapse.
Thus some husbands mistakenly think that their duties towards their spouses are limited to spending, clothing and housing only. They ignore the fact that a woman needs the good word, the cheerful smile, the soft touch, the entertaining kess, the lovely treatment and the gentle joke that gives comfort, remove burden and guarantee a happy life.
The interpreters of the Holy Qur’an discussed the marital rights and the etiquette marriage life from the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah (the prophetic tradition), some of these rights are: Treating the wife gently and having great tolerance towards her mistakes. Allah the Most High Says in the Holy Qur’an:
“Live with them on footing of kindness and equity” Al-Nissaa 19
Treating one’s wife kindly requires also bearing with her anger patiently, following the footsteps of the prophet (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who’s wives used to argue with him and sometimes one them may desert him all day long.
He used to say to his wife Ayisha (May Allah be pleased with her): Indeed I know whenever you’re angry and whenever you’re pleased, she asked: how do you recognize that?, he answered: whenever you are pleased with me you swear by the Lord of Mohamed versus when you are upset you swear by the Lord of Abraham, she then said: I only desert your name.
Ibnul-Alqayyem reported that the tradition of the prophet (May the best peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with his wives was: good manners and kind treatment, he used to send the young girls to play with Ayisha, whenever she drank he used to put his lips on the same spot she put hers and drink after her.
He (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to rest his head in her lap and recite the qur’an.
He (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to kiss her even while fasting, and whenever she was menstruated he would embrace her but after she would cover her lower part.
But … the virtue enemies’ sounds rise in the middle of the fever caused by the woman's rights wave pretending that Islamic principles encourage the violence against woman and the persecution against them.
So some raves then says that Islam is the enemy of the woman; decreases her dignity, insults her pride, and destroys her feeling of autonomy, treating her as animal, as a maid for his sensual pleasure or an instrument of reproduction, no more.
She is always the follower of the man who controls her in every thing, and who has all kinds of privileges. (Prof. Iman Alhallaq).
Some examples of this delirium also what came in the participants work papers in the first forum of the conference of the Arab woman summit.
Zeinab Bin Ayyad, an expert from Tunisia, says that the Arab woman should be fully aware of the necessity of getting off its closure and to express freely its desire for coping with the international changes, then she highlighted the woman's rights recognized internationally - with no exception to the Arab woman - within the international charters, with special focus on the agreement of the eradication of all distinctions forms against the women approved by the UN General Assembly on1979 (known as Copenhagen agreement) the application of such agreement should provide positive incitement to the movement of the Arab woman.
She analyzed the Arab societies harmony with the essence of the international charters in respect of their contribution, concentrating on the precautions, suspicions and with special focus on the practical application and exercise referring to many models from some Arab countries (such as Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia and others) where the Arab woman enjoyed some of their rights despite the relative differences of the application measures.
She also studied what remained to be achieved until the Arab woman embraces the latest developments of this era and enjoys the rights included in the international charters that suit her interest.
And the working paper extracted some results and deductions; the most important is the necessity of the progressive approach for the elimination of all kind of precautions or reservations with the concentration on the Tunisian practices as a pioneer model in this field.
All that should be within the framework of cooperation and partnership, taking all the legislative steps for the application of the agreements texts as long as that the law is one of the change instruments.
On the other hand, in a study published by the Family Psychological Sciences magazine, the researchers found that:
The way in which the husband and wife perceive one another shows precisely the stability of the marriage as the marital relation (in the case of the happy husbands) depends on the way of dealing with each other.
The experts concluded a number of ideas that give a glance at the future of marital life, such as the use of WE instead of I when talking about the future plans from both, the husband and the wife.
Also, each of them should mention the other party with appreciation and they should also give the others an impression that they are proud of their relationship and their marriage besides matching the viewpoints and the reinforcement of each other’s viewpoints during any conversation or discussion.
The researchers see that the spouses should commemorate the date of their first meeting and try to remember the details of that happy day during which they were unified.
They should not deal in a passive way with their life difficulties, they should remain always optimistic and positive (The network of the Morocco gate’s lighthouse).
Most probably the psychological tensions show up when the distance between them becomes big miles and when the gap that separates between them becomes deep to the extent that one don’t see nor hear the other …Why?
The answer is simply because, on the psychological level, each one of them has canceled the other
And this is the initial pillar created by the independence from the man using the distinction elimination agreement, so that they become equal...
That means that each of them has turned to be a zero in the other’s perception.
This is the only beginning...
Because, if the marriage was the peak of feeling each others, his collapse is at the moment when we stop to feel each others...
And …, indeed, that is the complete collapse of the proper meaning of the cordiality, dwelling and mercy between them.
Dr. Adel Sadeq confirms that there is some people who are, psychologically, not ready for the marriage because they do not possess the factors that help them dissolve in another human being or bearing his (her) care responsibility and exchanging of tenderness and cordiality with him (her).
This is the kind of individuals formed or created by the agreement of the eradication of all distinction forms, consequently the man and the woman become two counterparts... two contradictory not two integrated souls.
The framework of the distinction elimination agreement is based on the false assumption that the man or the woman, each one of them is perfect; therefore one can live and do well without the other.
The ultimate truth which can not be denied is that a man has a dryness and emotional needs that only woman can satisfy, in the same time, the woman needs the man to take the life pressures away from her, to undertake the responsibility of providing her with better life conditions and to protect her from the daily tensions so that she gets the sentimental and living stability.
We were told by the Prophet of Guidance (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that both man and woman have faire and equal rights, but also, each of them has some privileges that the other doesn’t have.
The man is privileged by being given the guardianship and the right of the family administration, while the woman is privileged by having superior position before their sons and daughters, as the All-Mighty Allah ordered every body to obey his mother and to be good to her, to treat her with great care and sympathy.
The woman is tranquility and mercy, she is the best of the world’s pleasure, and she is to be always served, protected and taken care of.
While the greatest pleasure in the hereafter is the luxury in the highest Paradise which is the expensive valuable commodity of Allah, the greatest pleasure in this world is the righteous pious woman. And who ever got such woman he has got the dearest treasure.
And … to encourage men to take care of girls … said our prophet (May the best peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the charity to the girls will be rewarded from Allah in the hereafter, those girls will be for him as shelter from the hellfire.
Abi Shoraih Khowailed Bin Amr Al-Khozaie (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the prophet (May the best peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : (oh Allah I forbid the violation of the weak, orphan and woman’s rights) narrated by Al-Nissaee with good attribution, Ahmed 2 / 439, and Ibn Majah 3678 of Abi Huraira 's Hadith (prophetic saying).
The use of the good selected words with the wives was mentioned frankly in the Hadith (prophetic saying) of our beloved Messenger (May the best peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) He said: (Never use bad words) … this Hadith is an important indication of the good care taken by the Islam towards the woman. The Prophet (May the best peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: be advised concerning women, fear Allah regarding them, for they are your assistants.
Allah (Glory be to Him) also said in the Holy Quraan:
“if they obeyed, seek not against them means of annoyance, for Allah is Most High, Great (above you all)” Al-Nissaa 34.
Al-Nawawi, Al-Hafez and others said in the explanation of this verse: you do not behave in a way that annoys, bothers or hurts them.
O’ my beloved sisters… the daughters of the noblest and highest religion … you are indeed enjoying the superior rank in Islam..
You are perceived as the sun that enlightens our life, as the planets up high in the sky... do not leave this peak.
You were prepared to undertake a great task O dear, you are the pride of your nation.
Pay great attention to the ways of the debauchery people and purify your chest from their sins.
O dear…, they are attacking your eminence using the soft and dangerous weapon of the said liberation and progress. The real description is the mess and disorder.
O the spring breeze…, they want you to be an easy target in the hand of each adulterer, drunk and libertine.
As soon as one of them takes what he want and fulfill his low desires, he then turns to another woman looking for more.
O the star of the chaste purity, they want you ... they want to spoil your honor and dignity.
Liberate yourself from their sins and refuse their essays by saying:
"Allah forbid! truly He is my Lord! Who made my sojourn agreeable! truly to no good come those who do wrong!" youssuf 23.
O Allah, … the Lord of the universe, the God of all the creatures keep our Muslim girls and women safe from any harm and grant them with your assurance, safety and compassion.
O’ Allah use us in support of Your noble religion, Your glorious Book, and the Sunnah (prophetic tradition) of Your Beloved Messenger and Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and make us from those who are upon guidance! Amen.
O’ Allah, may your best blessings and peace be upon Mohamed and all the prophets & messengers.
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe
And … Allah is the source of all sincerity.

Iraqi refugees find hard times
Bomb blasts, torture and years of exile had all but ruined the Azeez family of Iraq. So the news sounded promising: Their refugee application had been approved. Abdul, his wife, Haifaa, and their four adult children were coming to America.
The family of Mandeans, a persecuted religious minority in Iraq, had left behind almost everything in their Baghdad home but planned to create a new life in El Cajon.
One year later, Abdul, 49, fiddles with worry beads as he paces in his two-bedroom town house. His three sons scour the streets competing for jobs with Mexican immigrants. Haifaa, 49, bends her brittle, bomb-shattered back to light rose-scented candles and prays.
Abdul, once a wealthy merchant who owned jewelry stores in Iraq, was counting on government support to resettle, but the eight months of payments have run out. The family members still lack work, as do many Iraqi refugees they encounter around town.
"Why are they bringing Iraqis here? There are no jobs," Azeez said.
Similar accounts of fading immigrant dreams are increasingly common in this San Diego suburb, where thousands of Iraqi refugees crowd apartment complexes, welfare lines and English-language schools, their appreciation for the United States tested by the specter of poverty.
Unlike previous waves of refugees from wars and other conflicts, the Iraqis' displacement has landed them in an economic desert. Gone are many of the jobs and generous government benefits that lifted earlier generations of immigrants up the economic ladder.
Refugees like the Azeez family resort to selling off jewelry and family heirlooms to pay the rent. Others borrow or live off money sent from relatives in Iraq. Families double up in tiny apartments. A handful have given up and returned to the Middle East.
"They're on a natural high when people get here. They are grateful," said Michael McKay, head of the Catholic Charities office in San Diego. "But after a few months, it's kind of a crash. Things are tough."
A refugee existence came unexpectedly for many. Saddam Hussein's ouster and execution lifted hopes that Iraq -- flush with oil profits -- would join the ranks of modern Arab states, minting millionaires and sprouting gleaming skylines. Instead, sectarian violence broke out in 2006, fueling attacks against ethnic and religious groups, many of whose members fled to Syria or Jordan. The U.S. government, inundated with immigration requests, dramatically increased the number of Iraqi refugee admissions in 2008.
Since then U.S. communities with large Iraqi populations have been flooded with refugees. In El Cajon, where about one-quarter of the population of 96,000 has Iraqi ancestry, an estimated 7,000 Iraqis arrived last year. A similar surge is expected this year, straining resources and schools in the city believed to have the second-largest number of Iraqis in the country, most of them Chaldean Christians.
On Main Street, which is dotted with signs in Arabic and kebab eateries, cafes are jammed with retired or unemployed Iraqi men sipping strong black tea. Refugees using food stamps buy fresh koboz bread and dates at storefront markets and get in line for donated mattresses at St. Peter's Church. There are waiting lists for English classes, and some refugees have been referred to homeless shelters.
Nearly half of the kindergartners in the local school district are refugees.
Last month, hundreds of immigrants tried to squeeze into a three-room social services agency to meet with Iraqi government officials. Police had to disperse angry crowd members who had gathered to get their Iraqi government documents processed.
Joseph Ziauddin, president of the East County Refugee Center, spends his days shuttling car-less widows to work, finding people jobs and translating police calls. Every morning, he wakes to dozens of phone messages from people asking for assistance.
"It's overwhelming," said Ziauddin, who runs one of a handful of social service agencies for Iraqis in the city. "People are in need. They need help, and there's not enough."
The tales of trauma and struggle spill out from women in veils, middle-aged men playing dominoes and children who sleep in clothesline-strung bedrooms. The refugees have been interviewed extensively by U.S. authorities abroad who have determined that their fears of persecution back home are credible.
A white-haired man stands in a welfare line, jobless in a new country after having been kidnapped and losing his chicken farm in Iraq to Muslim militants. A burly man in a cafe who had worked as a security guard for foreign media left Baghdad after receiving an envelope with five bullets inside, meant for each member of his family.
Many refugees are doctors, engineers and other educated professionals who feel humiliated taking jobs as busboys or waiters or landscapers -- when they can even land such work.
An estimated 80% of the refugees are jobless, according to community leaders and social service agencies. Ziauddin, a former engineer who worked as a busboy when he first arrived in the U.S. 12 years go, encourages countrymen to start at the bottom if necessary.
"We have to humble ourselves and forget who we were there," Ziauddin said.
Jwan Sulaiman hasn't forgotten her privileged past but has come to terms with the future. An anesthesiologist in Baghdad, the petite mother of two left after militants killed her nephew and she narrowly avoided a car bomb.
Unable to work here as a doctor, she was jobless for a year before finding employment as an interpreter. Sulaiman, 48, lives in a one-bedroom apartment with her 15-year-old daughter.
The apartment could fit in the living room of her three-story house in Baghdad, but at least now she doesn't see body parts on her way to work, or wear a head scarf in public as many women are forced to in Iraq. The San Diego area is safe, and that in itself is a blessing, she said.
"If I can't go to heaven later on," she said, "I am living it now."
The Azeez family members aren't so willing to embrace their new country.
In Baghdad, Azeez owned a jewelry manufacturing plant and four stores. The family's six-bedroom home featured a large, country-club-like garden. They had servants and drivers, and vacationed at a popular lake resort nearby.
When sectarian tensions boiled over, Mandeans like the Azeezes were especially vulnerable. An ancient religion whose adherents consider John the Baptist their prophet, its members can't carry weapons. Because of their pacifist ways and relative wealth -- many Mandeans are goldsmiths or merchants -- they became easy targets.
Azeez's daughter was snatched on her way to school in 2005, the abductors forcing him to pay a $25,000 ransom. A few months later, hooded gunmen broke into the house and tortured Azeez with a hot poker.
The family fled to Syria and opened a small market. After two years, U.S. officials approved their refugee application. It was a lifeline. Muslims had burned down their home in Iraq.
In El Cajon, their modest town house is furnished with donated mattresses, blankets and secondhand tables.
When Azeez isn't home pacing in his socks and flip-flops, he's calling on social service agencies for medical attention for his wife. Back in Iraq, her spine was injured when a bomb exploded at a marketplace where she had gone shopping.
She has trouble walking now and needs surgery to repair the brace in her back, which was implanted by doctors in Jordan. "Not happy. Everyday sit in home," Haifaa Azeez said in broken English.
During the family's first eight months in the United States, each member received the $450 in monthly government support distributed to all refugees. The family's only government support now is $750 in food stamps. By selling off pieces of gold they were able to take from Abdul's business, they barely make their $1,150 rent.
The job hunt is bleak. On a recent day, Rami, their youngest son, looked for work at an upscale shopping center. Employees at various stores directed him to long lines at customer service departments.
Each of Rami's finished applications reads the same.
Position? "Anything."
Available start date? "Any time."
Full or part time? "All of the time."
"They say they'll call back, but they never do," said Rami, who is in his early 20s.
In bleak moments, family members wonder why they came to the United States. They had options, including Sweden and Australia. They've considered returning to Syria, where at least they understand the language and there is a small Mandean community.
For now, the family worships alone on Sundays. Haifaa covers her head with a veil while she reads from their holy book. She prays for good health and acceptance in her adopted home.
"I will love this country," she said, "when my children get jobs and we get a normal life.”

Why Yemen's US-aided fight against Al Qaeda could backfire
Sanaa, Yemen —
The attempted assassination of the British ambassador to Yemen this week, together with a purported video of the Christmas Day bomber training with Al Qaeda’s branch here, has drawn fresh attention to the need for a strong counterterrorism strategy in Yemen.
The United States sharply increased military assistance to Yemen after AQAP claimed responsibility for the attempted Christmas Day bombing of a Detroit-bound flight. In recent months, the Yemeni government has targeted dozens of suspected AQAP [Al Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula] operatives – often quietly working in tandem with the US.
But experts caution that unless Yemen diversifies its approach – which led to success in neighboring Saudi Arabia – increased military action as well as overt cooperation with America may ultimately backfire.
“Up until Christmas Day 2009, AQAP ... was stronger in Yemen than it had ever been before. Over the last few months, they’ve taken a series of hits … but none of these have been sort of the debilitating blow that’s going to knock the organization off its tracks for any sustained period of time,” says Gregory Johnsen, a Yemen expert at Princeton University in New Jersey.
A day in the life of Yemen's counterterrorism unit
The main crux of Yemen’s counterterrorism offensive is targeted military action by the Yemeni Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), with the aid of American and British funding, trainers, and intelligence. In February, Defense Secretary Robert Gates authorized $150 million in security assistance for Yemen for fiscal year 2010, up from $67 million last year. According to officials interviewed by Reuters, $38 million of the funding is earmarked for a military transport aircraft, while $34 million will go to "tactical assistance" of Yemen's special operations forces.
The CTU was established in 2003 and consists of 200 fighters who live in barracks at the headquarters of Central Command in Sanaa. They attend training sessions five days a week at a small, primitive obstacle course about eight miles outside the capital.
On a recent day, a small team of soldiers in green camouflage ran drills. The soldiers ran to a fixed point before lying down and firing at an upper body target. Darting up in unison, they ran to another target point and fired at green glass bottles balanced on a wall, until moving on to firing pistols at a closer range on more targets that appeared to be cut from wood and cardboard. An empty concrete structure approximating a house stands amid the course, where the CTU practices approaching homes.
The CTU also has an all-woman unit consisting of 42 women, who work with female American instructors, who also practice shooting on the course. Overhead, the sound of Air Force practice could be heard.
Maj. Abu Luhom, who has been with the CTU since it was founded, says they have been running more, increasingly successful, missions in recent months: “We owe the credit to American and British training.”
Amar, a young warrant officer, gleamed with sweat under his black helmet and flak jacket after finishing the obstacle course. “Every day we sit with the Americans,” he said, adding that they coach him in house searching, shooting, and medical training. He explained that he trains five days a week and sometimes has night drills – before the interview was abruptly ended by Luhom's directive that soldiers were not authorized to speak to the press.
US-Yemen cooperation could boost AQAP recruitment
But working closely with the US is a difficult balancing act for the Yemeni government, and risks strengthening AQAP’s hand.
“Al Qaeda wants to present Yemen on par with Iraq and Afghanistan ... to present Yemen as being occupied by outside forces, because once they do that, then it throws open the gates of recruitment,” says Mr. Johnsen of Princeton. He describes statements by Yemeni officials that there are no US soldiers in Yemen as “a very sort of calculated quote to indicate to the Yemenis that these aren’t soldiers, they are just advisers – and that the US isn’t occupying Yemen.”
Yemen’s predicament was highlighted when the CIA added to its hit list American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki, a Muslim cleric tied to the Fort Hood shooter and Christmas Day bomber who is now believed to be hiding in Yemen. Initially, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said Yemen was waiting for US evidence of Mr. Awlaki’s terrorism ties before hunting him, but later amended his statement.
“Yemeni authorities look at him [Al-Awlaki] as having links with Al Qaeda and therefore he is targeted by the Yemeni government for arrest and prosecution,” Mr. Qirbi told the Monitor in a follow-up interview in his office. He maintained responsibility for capturing Awlaki was a domestic prerogative. “Outside interference, of course, will create political problems for the government.”
Saudi success has driven militants to Yemen
One country that has strike a balance between public cooperation with the US and countering Al Qaeda is Saudi Arabia, which launched a successful domestic offensive against the group in 2003. Saudi forces are better funded and have been receiving foreign training since the early 1970s, but experts maintain Saudi Arabia’s ability to dispel Al Qaeda stemmed from launching a variety of initiatives, something Yemen hasn’t done.
“The whole point is they’ve done many things and [it’s] precisely the diversity that partly explains the success. They’ve not relied exclusively on force,” says Thomas Hegghammer, research fellow at the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) in Oslo. Saudis used propaganda campaigns, constrained the financial resources of militants, limited their ability to acquire weapons, and offered militants amnesty to encourage desertion from Al Qaeda.
“In Saudi Arabia, the violence subsided to the level of zero, one, or two [operations] per year after 2006 and the organization didn’t produce any more propaganda," adds Mr. Hegghammer.
The irony of the success of the Saudi program is that Saudi militants have moved to Yemen. In January 2009, six years after the Saudis bolstered their counterterrorism offensive, the Saudi and Yemeni branches of Al Qaeda joined forces under the new name Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and made Yemen their base.
“As the security environment in Saudi Arabia has gotten less permissive, these guys will relocate,” says Christopher Boucek, associate at the Carnegie Middle East program in Washington.
Measuring success in either country comes down to “what the militants say and what the militants do,” says Hegghammer. “In Yemen ... Al Qaeda is still carrying out operations at the rate of tens [of] attacks per year and is very active in producing propaganda, so [Yemen has] a long way to go.”

Toggling Between Fighting and Outreach in Afghanistan
Tyler Hicks/The New York Times A funeral in Marja, Afghanistan, was attended by villagers during ongoing fighting in the area between American Marines and Taliban fighters.
However the Afghan war is faring over all, across the wide and varied expanse of Afghanistan, with all of its political and cultural complexity, one thing is abundantly clear: toggling between fighting and outreach can create head-spinning scenes. Some of these scenes underline the difficulties inherent in a counterinsurgency doctrine that mixes lopsided violence with attempts to make nice. But they also simultaneously demonstrate that the efforts to follow the doctrine far from Kabul, out on remote ground, have become a central part of how the war is waged, even as the merits of the doctrine are quietly debated.
One example was in mid-February, when Kilo Company, Third Battalion, Sixth Marines, was still isolated and alone in the agricultural strip in northern Marja, a region of small villages between patches of open steppe and irrigated poppy fields. The old-school fighting between Kilo Company and the local gunmen and Taliban fighters had consumed a large part of each day for several days running. Both sides had settled into rifle and machine gun battles across the farmers’ fields. The Marines were also using their 60-millimeter mortars and calling in helicopter attack gunships and occasional air or rocket strikes, pushing off the insurgents while continuing down their list of tasks: seizing a bridge and bazaar, selecting a site for a large Afghan police outpost, clearing roads of mines, and more. Each day was basically a rolling gunfight, punctuated by the larger explosions of supporting arms.
In the darkness before sunrise one morning, Col. Brian Christmas, who commands the battalion, landed by helicopter at the small compound that Kilo Company had temporarily occupied for its command post. He wanted to visit an elderly Afghan man who a few days before had suffered a terrible loss: his family had been inside a compound that was mistakenly struck by a ground-to-ground guided rocket. Twelve civilians had been killed, five of them children, and one man remained missing, presumably buried under the rubble.
At dawn, a small foot patrol set out with the colonel to visit the ruined home. This meant crossing several open areas that had been watched over by insurgent snipers and machine gunners, who each day had fired on the Marine patrols and turned previous crossings into intensive skirmishes and long mad dashes for cover. On this morning, the colonel’s patrol walked through the open for roughly two kilometers (about a mile and a quarter) without coming under fire. Something, it seemed, was different. And then the patrol, anticipating being ambushed on the return walk, made it almost all the way back a few hours later without getting into a firefight again. As the lead Marines entered the last cluster of buildings near the company command post, the tail end of the column came under rifle shots from a distant field. But these were a desultory effort, and the Marines, after orienting toward the fire and assessing it, paid the incoming shots little more mind, and slipped into the village with plans to get on with the day.
Then something unusual happened.
In the center of this tiny village, a large group of Afghan men were gathered at a freshly dug grave. The men eyed the Marines coldly.
Colonel Christmas was intrigued. Soon he was invited into a home, where he talked with a family for a short while to get a sense of what was happening in the graveyard. The initial stories did not quite square. A child was being buried, the villagers said; he had been hit in the cross-fire the day before. This did not add up. The hole was perhaps seven feet long and wider than a grown man. Why dig such a hole for a child? As the rest of the Marine patrol stood back, Afghan soldiers mingled with the villagers. The story became more developed. O.K., the new line went, maybe the victim was in fact an adult. And maybe he had been shot in the fighting. Then the villagers’ story took its final shape. Yes, the man had been shot in the heavy fighting the day before. But he was not an insurgent. He was a bystander. Asked where the man had been standing when he was shot, and at what time, the villagers grew hazy with details. The Marines now wondered. Had they walked into a Taliban funeral? And was the funeral the reason that they had not been ambushed throughout the morning, because many of the men who had been ambushing them all week were now right here, taking a break while tending to ritual?
Colonel Christmas, following the mores of counterinsurgency, chose to use the funeral as an opportunity. Very few Afghan men had been willing to mingle near the Marines in the first days. The village had seemed deserted. Whoever these men were, this was a chance to talk. He approached the graveyard, was invited to sit and addressed the men.
“We mourn with you for the loss of one of your sons,” he said. “These are unnecessary losses in a time of war.”
He added: “The only way we will be successful is if the Afghan National Army, the Marines and you work together.”
Colonel Christmas asked the villagers to help separate the Taliban from the population and said that once the fighting eased, development could begin. Millions of dollars had been set aside for projects and jobs, he said. With security, the local standard of living could improve. And without accusing any of the young men in front of him of being fighters, he elliptically suggested that those who had been fighting consider setting aside their guns and moving forward with what would become a new life.
“Tell the young Afghanis who the Taliban had told to take up arms to put them down and come home,” he said. “Nothing will happen to them.”
One of the older Afghans interjected. “We can’t fight the Taliban,” he said. “We have nothing. That’s your job.” The man also complained that Marines were searching homes. “This is disrespectful of us,” he said.
The colonel said that house searches were part of the initial sweep through Marja but were stopping. On the subject of the initial sweeps, the elder had a request: One villager was dead already, and another – Abdul Ghani — had been detained by the Marines and not been seen for several days. What could be done about this?
Abdul Ghani had been found by the Marines in a home near the graveyard on the first day of the offensive. The home contained a room with a cluster of materials the Marines considered to be bomb-making ingredients: stacks of new cooking pots, electrical cables and sacks of fertilizer. Abdul Ghani had been led away, and though the villagers did not know it, he was being held under guard in the temporary command post a short walk away. [Note: Abdul Ghani was not the man in this video. Kilo Company detained two suspected bombmakers in the first week in Marja.]
The colonel gestured to Capt. Joshua P. Biggers, the commander of Kilo Company, who leaned close. They had a quick conference. Then the colonel faced back to the small crowd.
“I will see what I can do,” he said. “Give me two or three hours.”
Captain Biggers stepped away and spoke into his radio. “I’m authorizing the release of the detainee,” he said.
If American counterinsurgency doctrine is sound, and to have a chance of succeeding in Afghanistan – two assertions that remain subjects of debate within the ranks – then the contest for public sentiment among Afghan civilians will arguably be more important over the long run than the relative effectiveness of each side’s martial skills. A series of recent posts looked closely at the Taliban’s equipment, tactics and marksmanship, including their recent use of snipers in Helmand Province. Fighting skills and fighting methods obviously matter to the outcome of the American and Afghan effort against the Taliban. In many ways, the quieter and less spectacular struggle for popular sentiment is much harder to measure, or the measurements (numbers of voters registered, numbers of local men coaxed into joining small governing councils, etc.) feel disconnected from the ways Afghan villages actually make decisions and tend to their affairs.
The decision with Abdul Ghani’s detention is the sort of action that is difficult both to assess and to make extrapolations from. How much do actions like this influence the war? No one can quite be sure. But a sizeable contingent of officers on the ground believe that the potential gains from such a gesture can outweigh the risks.
After a few minutes, Captain Biggers approached the colonel and spoke softly. The colonel nodded.
“In 10 minutes, I will bring Abdul back, and I will give him to you,” the colonel told the group. “To show that I trust you, and you must trust me.”
A short while later, two Marines rounded the corner of a building. Between them was Abdul Ghani, who walked slowly, unsure of what was happening. He eyed the sights in front of him: a few local dozen men, sitting at a funeral with a patrol of armed Marines.
Colonel Christmas excused himself from the elders and approached the man he was about to set free.
“Take care of your family and work with the A.N.A. and the Marines,” the colonel said, using the acronym for the Afghan National Army. An interpreter translated the colonel’s words to Pashto. Abdul Ghani nodded. “May God be with you,” the colonel said. “And may he help you make good decisions.”
Abdul Ghani walked slowly away from the Marines, toward the edge of the cemetery and the freshly dug grave, as the village’s men moved toward him. Soon he was passed from man to man in a series of embraces and hugs.
Was Abdul Ghani a bomb maker? Was he just unlucky and caught up in a fast sweep? The evidence had been uncertain. The Marines did not know for sure. Certainly there were hidden bombs nearby, and they had been made from the kinds of components found in his home. (A few days later, when the roads into northern Marja were opened, the colonel’s convoy would strike one of the hidden bombs, and several others would be found.)
But no matter. The decision had been taken. On this day, after several days of intensive fighting and an errant rocket strike, the release of Abdul Ghani offered a chance for a spontaneous good-will gesture. Under the ideas that at the moment drive Western notions of counterinsurgency, he was seen to be more valuable being set free at a funeral for what may well have been a Taliban fighter than being moved along toward jail.
